Macquarie Centre
‘Trend to try’ started as a weekly editorial initiative for InStyle Australia online. The concept soon became sponsored by the Macquarie Centre, a large shopping centre in Sydney. Monthly collages were adapted to feature across all digital screens within the centre and on InStyle and Macquarie Centre’s online channels.

Country Romance
Fall in love…
With warmer months and longer days just around the corner, what’s not to love about a floaty floral dress. For a new take on the classic piece, choose a sun-bleached print and team it with vintage-inspired extras like round shades and boots made for walking cross-country..
Days of Disco
You were made to move...
This week, we're taking cues from Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall circa 1977. Think sexy silhouettes, glam metallics, sky-high stilettos and lashings of black eyeliner—and don’t forget a super-spunky attitude. Shop our picks and you’ll be ready to dance the night away Studio 54 style...
Vintage Holiday
Is it warm yet?
For a breezy off-duty look, channel Gwyneth Paltrow in The Talented Mr. Ripley with vintage-inspired pieces in a creamy neutral palette. Think waisted skirts, soft slides and a classic straw hat paired with a natural beauty look.
Witching Hour
From lashings of dark lace to graphic references of folklore and mythology, it’s hard to deny that this season’s collections feature a calling to embrace our inner magic.
But don’t mistake this for another mere bohemian trip. It’s far darker than the feminine ‘70s revivals of past seasons.
Leading Australian designers at Sass and Bide, Zimmermann and Lover have each introduced us to their own version of this woman of strength and mystique. Channel Cher’s character from The Witches of Eastwick with lashings of mascara and seductive blouses that frame your face.
Create further drama in an instant with a pair of statement earrings like gypsy hoops or hanging cosmic shapes.
Now all that is left is to cast your spell.
Lunar Seduction
When the moon creeps high, it's time to indulge in the seductive textures of the Winter season. With a nod to '80s glamour, embrace hues of rich reds and opulent golds. Make like a rock chick and keep warm beneath thick coats. Once inside, reveal your inner disco in statement pieces that are best accessorised with your drink of choice.
